Sara, a premiere

Sara Baras (Cádiz), trained with her mother Concha Baras and with Ciro, Manolete or El Güito, but she is not only a dancer and exceptional choreographer who takes her dancing from the tradition she learnt as a girl in Cádiz.

She is also the most popular and charismatic bailaora on the flamenco scene. Her connection with the audience, which vibrates during her shows, is absolute. Her ability to reinvent herself is astounding: in 1998 she founded her own dance company. Her audacity is limitless: in the midst of the pandemic she put together the first Flamenco show in streaming for an immersive experience. There is no holding back with the extremely gifted Sara Baras.

Now that she is back on the stage, Sara Baras chooses the Teatro de la Maestranza, where she has always brought the house down for the world premiere of her new show. And the Teatro de la Maestranza is elated and feels privileged to present, once again, one of the most captivating and innovative Flamenco artists of the last decades for the experience of a premiere, of a new project.

The stage is hers. As the creator of Sombras, Carmen, Esencia, La Pepa or Juana la Loca, one thing is certain for sure: this will be a success. And you will be able to enjoy the added excitement of being part of the audience for the premiere.
