A Blues Soul
Why is it that when sorrow hooks us, we want to listen to sad songs? It must be because music is much more than an embellishment in our lives. Without music -as a wise person said- life would be an error: within every person there is a soul of melodies that defines us in a very clear way. What would happen if human beings were to forget all these songs?
Lirio is an 11-year-old girl who, to overcome her heartache, needs to remember the song her mother sang to her. With determination, it is up to her to undertake the difficult mission of recovering the sad songs of all humanity which, otherwise, would be lost. La niña que salvará nuestro mundo (The girl who will save our world) must travel a long path (sometimes on her own, sometimes accompanied) to express sorrow and find the way to joy again.
Since 2010, the Claroscuro theatre company has used music as the guiding theme of its stories. Puppets, masks and a live performance create a magical atmosphere that arouses great emotions, as the audience of the Maestranza has already experienced. In this show, co-produced by the Teatro de la Zarzuela (Madrid), the company returns to touch the sensibilities of its spectators.
All the shows in the Sala Manuel García are made possible thanks to the support of the Fundación Banco Sabadell.
