British delicacies

With the end of the Tudor dynasty and isolated from Europe, the onset of the Baroque period did not foretell the grand musical splendours in England of Renaissance composers such as Dowland, Tallis or Byrd. Nonetheless under the leadership of Henry Purcell, known as Orpheus Britannicus-from the title of a collection of his songs-, English Baroque style gave us the melodic music, full of nerve and nostalgia, of Avison, Chilcot, Arne, Locke, Haendel and, of course, Purcell himself, the music we will enjoy in this concert.

Alicia Amo, offers us a necklace of British pearls accompanied by the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla under the direction of concert master Andoni Mercero.

Subtlety, tenderness, pleasure and sentiment in a beautiful collection of British delicacies.
