High voltage

A high voltage reunion at the Teatro de la Maestranza. Together on stage, soprano Ainhoa Arteta and mezzo Nancy Fabiola Herrera, in a lyrical “side by side” that promises to be an evening of passion and joy.

Since first hearing Maria Callas at the tender age of five, Ainhoa Arteta has been in love with opera, while at the same time inspiring the love of her audiences. After her debut as Mimi (Puccini) in New York, Arteta’s career has been characterised by prodigious interpretations which memorize the spectator for their intensity and vocal brilliance.

In the same way, Nancy Fabiola Herrera has hypnotised audiences since her debut as Isabella in L’italiana in Algeri at the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires. Her captivating interpretations -especially Carmen (Bizet)- are charged with enormous stage and vocal magnetism.

Together with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, conducted by Lucas Macías, the new musical director of the Orchestra of Granada, the event is sure to be an explosion of vocal prowess, musical sensuality and intense lyrical emotion.
