A musical promenade

Acclaimed as a particularly talented ensemble for its rapport, uniformity and balance, the Promenade Piano Dúo of Pilar Martín (Málaga, 1994) and Álvaro Saldaña (Toledo, 1995,) is the unequivocal expression of the brilliance and musical level of the new generation of Spanish musicians. These two pianists received their training at the Conservatory of Music in Aragón but professional reasons have made Málaga their home as educators and concert performers.

With the title Kátharsis, the Dúo Promenade of piano four-hands, presents an eclectic programme with works by Mozart, Kapustin, Infante, Anderson and Ravel. An exciting cluster of pieces which combine the beauty of Classicism, the experimental jazz of the Russian Kapustin or the virtuoso and compelling Fantasia of motifs from Bizet’s Carmen by Greg Anderson. Quite the wide reaching and varied programme for this entertaining musical journey.
