Noa proposes to Bach

Rather than sing “baby I love you”, I would prefer to keep quiet. One could say this louder but certainly not any clearer. The Israeli singer Noa takes on another exciting challenge with her personal approach to pop as now she puts the focus on Johann Sebastian Bach. Yes, Bach. A Bach whose counterpoint can sound amazingly modern.

Letters to Bach is a collection of letters sung as wonderful musical postcards. A declaration of love by this Yemini singer -influenced by jazz and the singer-songwriters of the 60s- towards the father of Baroque music.

Noa dares Bach with devotion and sobriety, but also with humour. Putting words to pieces that have never had them. Accompanied by the plucking of fascinating guitarist Gil Dor. Savouring Bach in a most delicate vocal exhibition.

Noa will surprise us again in a recital based on an exquisite album that could only have been produced by someone of the talent as the great Quincy Jones.
