Winds of change
The third season of the series Rasgando el silencio (Breaking the silence) which gives visibility to women composers excluded by a History of Music, written and overwhelmingly dominated by men, brings us a new sequence of five concerts programmed by the directors of this project, pianist Carmen Martínez-Pierret and cellist Israel Fausto. By the time the series concludes, we will have discovered the work of 60 female composers.
All the programming in the Sala Manuel García is made possible thanks to the support of the Fundación Banco Sabadell.

Carmen Martínez-Pierret
A participant in numerous chamber music series, festivals, and a collaborator of different events with well-known singers, actors, and reciters. Her recordings have been highly acclaimed by the critics. Carmen Martínez-Pierret regularly gives courses, seminars, and lectures, and has been a jury member of prestigious international competitions.

Israel Fausto
Recipient of prestigious national and international awards, he is considered one of the Spanish cellists with most international projection. As a result, there are invitations to regularly take part in important chamber series and theatres of today’s musical scene. An interpreter of great versatility, his wide repertory extends from Baroque to contemporary music.
