Creating dance, creating with freedom

“We discover that together we can be stronger and alone we are much less”. As an antidote to the bewilderment and complexity of these convulsive times which encourage individualism and an everyman for himself attitude, Swedish choreographer Johan Inger, maestro of maestros, proposes a collective work as a class that has no end. A lesson that is a shared production with the audience. A show where the conversation is part of the inspiration.

Why not develop our capacity to reinvent ourselves and look for the answers from the inside? With a slowly growing number of dancers on the stage and a simultaneous decrease in the size of the performance space, Impasse presents a sense of urgency when acting upon and taking part in these changes.

In a new work, which lies midway between hyperactivity and humour, the dancers of Take off Dance give us an exquisite answer to anxiety, they address and erase fear with courageous movement, they challenge desperation and conspire against sorrow.

A show for the under 30’s. Young dancers for a young audience.
