The Flamenco to come

Before turning 30, dancer Eduardo Guerrero, had been on tour with some of the greatest names in flamenco and had already created and directed shows of his own. In all of them, a constant plan to blend tradition into the contemporary and a will to transgress has become the path to remodel this art form.

Guerrero fits together the purity of flamenco with the scenography and dramaturgy of the 21st century in Debajo de los pies, as he continues his investigation and modernizes the legacy inherited. True to his essence, applying an astonishing technique to a field of knowledge based on years of research, the artist creates a show of enormous visual and emotional force. According to critics, Guerrero has surpassed himself.

For 90 minutes, Debajo de los pies considers the human being by focusing on some of its most profound truths and translating these into movement. On stage: love, heartbreak, identity, our need to leave a footprint… is embodied in a set that captivates. An experience where contemporary dance blends with the essential energy of flamenco, and at the same time, signals a new and decisive stage in the career of Eduardo Guerrero.
