Great Chamber music series
For the second year, we present the series Diálogos Concertantes with various maestros invited from the Fundación Barenboim-Said.
They are part of the grand selection of the best musicians in Europe, many of whom belong to the most important orchestras, from the Berlin Philharmonic to the Orquesta Nacional de España (Spanish National Orchestra) and all of them - without exception - are excellent chamber music virtuosos.
Along with a naturally occurring musical conversation, in other words, playing chamber music, they are also teachers: that generous and transcendental manner of dialogue that goes beyond generations and differences. These distinguished musicians are part of the teaching staff of the Fundación Barenboim-Said and they travel to Sevilla every month to educate and inspire young musicians. Encounters which tend to be intense and productive.
This vocation of get-togethers and fellowship is intrinsically ingrained in the Barenboim-Said project and, indeed, an essential component of this region: a mosaic of discovery and diversity over centuries. It has motivated the Teatro de la Maestranza to extend the dialogue beyond the classrooms of the Foundation and into the concert hall so that the visits are even more productive, and the dialogue extends to the audience.
Excellence, encounters and communication to rediscover ourselves in intimate, transformative active listening: where the agreement of distinct voices is always richer (and more persuasive) than a single voice.
All the programming in the Sala Manuel García is made possible thanks to the support of the Fundación Banco Sabadell.
