Who said it was ugly?

The story of that little ugly duckling inside a swan is the story of its author, Hans Christian Andersen, and of so many boys and girls who, across time, have suffered from incomprehension, bullying and the prejudices of their surroundings. Títeres Etcétera adapts the classic and incorporates other stories that Andersen complied during an entire lifetime devoted to shining light on others. An endearing show, full of emotion, that blends puppets, story and live music. Between the lines of a classical fairytale is a beautiful defence in favour of empathy, mutual understanding and self-love. Ugliness is the complete opposite.

About Andersen, the ugly duckling

The show combines puppets, storytelling and live music, to tell the story of the little duck that was rejected, and how it relates to the life of Anderson. As a child, the author felt different and found refuge in literature, theatre and imagination.
