Dancing the problems of the world
Television news comes to the stage. Dancing the drama of refugees and immigration. Expressing through movement the longing for a home for those who have lost their identity and country.
Always pushing the physical limits of dance, the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC), an Israeli troupe which has made history with vibrating and energetic shows, shakes the stage using powerful and grotesque choreography which confronts the problems of the world by dancing.
Asylum, with its premiere in 2019, is another brilliant show by Rami Be’er, a total creator who signs the choreography, staging and lighting of his work. As head of a company with an overwhelming technical level, he has become an indispensible creator to culturally confront the great conflicts in the world.
